In a surprise patent by Sony it seems that backward compatibility could be a thing in the next PlayStation console. Keep in mind this is just a patent, it doesn't mean it is a for sure possibility, but it is definitely a possibility. If this is true we will be able to play PSone through PS4 games on the "PS5". Here is the proposed flowchart for the possible new system.

What does this flow chart mean? In laymen's terms it will imitate the processors of each previous console. Yay!

If this is true not only am I pumped about this but I think I might start looking for all my PlayStation games that are currently sitting in storage right now!
