Dualshock 5 Controller and Dev Kit Image Leaks Stirs Speculation

The Playstation 5 is expected to be announced as official by Sony at some point in this calendar year or by early 2020. After a strong 2018, Sony is sitting out this year's E3 event to begin focus on their next gen hardware. They still have The Last of Us 2 and Days Gone as signature game releases, but the eyes are set toward the future. So now comes that delightful period where many pundits and journalists begin to conjure any information that seems like it has traction, and in this instance, images of a "leaked" Dualshock 5 and PS5 dev kit has hit the rounds, courtesy of twitter users, Tidux and Rey Sekiro, with the text on the touchscreen reading "follow the wh...

Take these for a grain of salt, it's never clear to tell what's real or fabricated with these kinds of images. There were rumors that the next Dualshock could feature an interactive touch screen controller, so perhaps the "fake" controller is playing on that story from months ago. Who can forget the boomerang controller that was alleged to be the Playstation 3's controller? Or my personal favorite, the buttonless, full range touch interface "controller" for the then codename Nintendo NX

For whatever it's worth, these stories, along with the reported power of the Playstation 5, are great to read about. Surely, more details will follow, but it'll certainly be amusing to see how much of the vaporware and rumors become fact.
