Announced yesterday on the Nintendo Direct. A bunch of Final Fantasy games are making their way to the Nintendo Switch, marking the first time a main line Final Fantasy game has been on a Nintendo platform since the SNES.

Final Fantasy 7, 9, X/X-2, and Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age are all coming to the newest Nintendo platform in 2019.

Please note, Final Fantasy 7 isn't the "remake" that Square has been talking about for 3 years now, it is most likely going to be the Steam version that was released a few years ago. As far as we know, the remake is a PS4 exclusive until Square tells us other wise.

The Nintendo Switch is also getting a few other Final Fantasy related things. Final Fantasy 15 Pocket Edition is available now, World of Final Fantasy Maxima will drop on November 6th, Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon will be out this winter, and 2019 will see the arrival of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles remake.

But that is not all.
Not to be left out, the Xbox 1 will also be seeing some Final Fantasy love. Final Fantasy 7, 9, 10, and 10 - 2 are also heading to the Xbox 1 in 2019 and World of Final Fantasy Maxima is being released on November 6th.

Here is the announcement trailer for the Switch versions.

As a Switch owner, I think this is awesome, but I wished they would have done all of the Final Fantasy games.

What do you guys think? Interested in the older Final Fantasy games? Let us know in the comments.
