With the massive success of the Resident Evil 2 Remake, is Capcom going to give Resident Evil 3 the same treatment? 

This data leak seems to suggest so.

The covers, on the Playstation Network digital shop, reveal that Nemesis is going to be making his comeback as the games main big bad and once again Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliveira will be the main protagonists.  

This data leak confirms another leak that took place a few months ago suggesting that Capcom was indeed remaking Resident Evil 3 for a 2020 release date. This will be the second RE game to have a 2020 release date. The other is a multiplayer project titled Protect Resistance which was revealed at the Tokyo Game Show a few months ago. 

Details suggest that we will get official conformation at this years Video Game Awards show on the 12th of this month. 

Given the studios history of re-imagining and with the massive success that followed RE2 Remake earlier this year. It's no surprise that Capcom would be pushing followed with this. Especially since the remake to RE2 is getting nominated for Game of the Year. 

If any other news comes out about this, I will keep you all informed. But it seems like lips are tight on this one. I guess will just have to wait until the Video Game Awards broadcasts on December 12th, just a little over a week away.
