Possible Spoilers for Spider-Man on the PS4

After 4 years and three E3's worth of footage, Spider-Man for the PS4 has been unleashed onto the world. If you have been listening to the podcast at all (and you should be!) Spanish has been saying nothing but great things about the game.

This isn't just a typical gaming release, this has been the event of the year.

And it might not be over just yet.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Marvel Games executive creative director Bill Rosemann hinted to this being the first game of a "Marvel Gaming Universe".

This is Marvel’s New York. This is a Marvel game. It’s not in a bubble. It is the New York that you want Spider-Man in. So yeah, uh, if you’re a Marvel fan coming to play this game you’ll see familiar names and logos and locations and we’re lucky that you’ll see, oh, that is the Sanctum Sanctorum?! It’s not going to be a focus but you’ll be able to swing by it. You’ll feel like, this isn’t just any New York City, I’m in the Marvel universe. This is Marvel’s New York. There will be a lot of elements that will make you feel like it’s part of a larger story.

Which, if you have been playing the game, while you are swinging around. You will come across some familiar buildings (like Avengers Tower, for example).

With two other Marvel themed video games on the horizon, Square's (still unseen) Avengers project and Guardians of the Galaxy - there is a good chance that will may be seeing more of our web head in the future.

Are you playing Spider-Man? What other easter eggs and references have you seen? Let us know in the comments below.
