Microsoft To Potentially Release A New Controller

Back in 2018, Microsoft released the "adaptive controller". A controller made specifically for disabled gamers.

This controller was praised for its innovation and the positive impact & accessibility it created. Now everybody can game, and that is a very good thing.

Well, this was just the beginning of something.

A new patent has been filed for a "Braille" controller which will allow those who are visually impaired to now be able to play and enjoy gaming.

This new controller will feature a Braille panel on the back and according to the patent filed, will translate in game speech, text, and voice communication via in game chat. The specifics weren't mentioned, but if Microsoft can pull this off, its going to be amazing.

Other than the panel on the back, it seems like an standard Xbox controller.

Now, this doesn't really mean anything. Companies the size of Microsoft patent a lot of ideas, most of which never get released. But after the craze of the Adaptive controller and the benefit that it provide to millions of gamers around the world. I wouldn't be too surprised if Microsoft is planning on taking it a step further.

As always, this is James with Game Fix. Game on everybody!
