Obsidian's New Trailer For The Outer Worlds

Obsidian is aiming to engross players in its latest game, the spacefaring foray, The Outer Worlds. Less than a month after the studio was acquired by Microsoft in November 2018, Obsidian revealed The Outer Worlds at the 2018 Game Awards December 10th of that year. Receiving critical praise for their previous works on Fallout: New Vegas and revered Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords and South Park The Stick of Truth.

The trailer showcases a lot of weaponry, environments, and aliens you encounter. A ship is provided to jump you to locations, but you don't pilot the ship itself, it acts as more a fast travel. NPCs can also be recruited to aid you and they have their own stories and character specific missions. It sounds like an interesting love child of Fallout and Bioware's Mass Effect series, the world and gameplay appear to burst with personality and could fill the gap of an in-depth trek across a vast and inviting environment that perhaps Fallout 76 deprived fans of at its release.

The Outer Worlds hit retailers October 25th 2019 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Windows, and a Nintendo Switch port to be released at a later date.
