We are quickly coming into week 5, which means Stage 2 finals are upon us. But first, lets talk about this week.
Week 4 had a lot of good matches, with New York Excelsior winning against Seoul Dynasty in a very close set and the Fusion just running a clinic against the Fuel. And once again, the Dragons getting zero wins this week. They're still taking maps, but just can't finish a match. I'm sure this will change in Stage 3 with their roster overhauled.
Meanwhile, Dallas Fuel just can't seem to find them self. They have a lot of talent on the team, but can't seem to really do anything with said talent. They took a predominate DPS player (Tiamou) and moved him over to main tank. He didn't seem very comfortable playing Winston, as he doesn't have a lot of hours put into him, so he was kind of shaky in the role making a lot of really off decisions. Maybe this will change in Stage 3 also with OGE coming in as a main tank player, but its not looking likely to be frank. They are still missing a clear cut leader in their ranks and this is hurting them.
Boston took a very crucial match against the Valiant breaking their curse on "only being able to beat teams below their rankings". Boston is a great young team, they're just not very consistent. When their DPS is hot, they can carry them very easily but when they get shut down. Its very tough for Boston to be able to recover from it.
Coming into week 4, Seoul was the number 1 team. After week 4, they are in a 3 way tie for 2nd place after losing both of their matches. Could we see repeat of Stage 1? Its looking that way.
I said this before, teams who can adapt to the Mercy-less meta are going to come out on top. While Mercy is still picked in a lot of matches, she isn't a "must pick". Teams who are running Ana and Moira are also finding a lot of success in this stage.
With that out of the way, lets take a look at the current over-all standings.

A couple of news story's
-San Francisco Shock announced their signing of two new players, Grant “moth” Espe and Min-ho “Architect” Park. Moth is a support player from Toronto Esports and Architect is a DPS player from the Korean team X6-Gaming.
-More Shock news. Young Tracer main sinatraa has turned 18 years old and will be joining the Shock some time soon. As stated in the League rules competing players have to be at least 18 years old to play in OWL. Sinatraa is a highly anticipated Tracer player who, if you have not seen him play, is really amazing to watch.
Thats kind of all that is note worthy. Kind of a slow news week in regards to OWL.
Thats it for me for now. This has been James with Game Fix giving you all of your OWL needs. Game on everybody!
