Razer is a PC gaming company who manufactures some of the best gaming accessories for the PC platform including headsets, keyboards, mice, and now surgical masks.

Min-Liang Tan, Co-founder & CEO of Razer announced today on Twitter that Razer is going to start working around the clock to produce surgical masks to donate them to countries who are currently in short supple of them.

With the on going virus, surgical masks are currently six times more expensive than they were at the start of the outbreak. The company's who make these masks can't keep up with demand, causing a shortage and the spike in price. With Razer pledging that they will dedicate one manufacturing line to help with the shortage, this should help combat the shortage and also drop the price.

I hope other company's follow suit and step up to help out with either producing surgical masks or even ventilators - which are also in very limited supple. Elon Musk has already pledged that his company will start producing ventilators and Sharp, a TV manufacturer out of China says they will also start producing masks and says that they can make as many as 500,000 a day.

The World Health Organization says that hospitals are going to need 89 million masks and gloves per month to keep up with demand.

I hope more follow suit to help combat this.
