Boom! Studios founder "Andrew Cosby" semi-confirmed that he is working with Netflix and Blizzard on an animated Diablo TV series for the streaming service. 

A TV series has been rumored for 2 years now, with Netflix saying they were interested in creating one. 

Andrew Cosby made a name for himself when he was tasked with writing the Hellboy remake set to release soon. 

In a now deleted Tweet, Andrew said 

I guess I can confirm I am indeed in final talks to write and show-run the new DIABLO animated series for Activision and Netflix. It’s very exciting and I hope to the High Heavens it all works out.

Its worth noting that in the "biz" the term "final talks" doesn't really mean a whole heck of a lot. Anything can still happen to this project. 

However, this does coincide with a report that I did last year on Blizzard having job openings for an "unannounced Diablo" project. 

With the success of Castlevania on Netflix, I think proves that adults have no issues watching an adult themed animated series.

I already have the first voice actor cast member. Terry Cruise as the archangel Tyrael. 

With Blizzcon right around the corner and Diablo 3 releasing on the Switch soon. I am sure this won't be the last time we hear about this.
