On December 17th of 1987, Capcom released what would be considered a classic gaming franchise. Mega Man, for the Nintendo Entertainment System.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the franchise. Since its release, there have been a lot of Mega Man games, and even more spin off games. And then, nothing. There was supposed to be a game released a few years ago called Mega Man Universe.

All we know is that is going to feature characters from other Capcom games, like Ryu and Author. It also featured the ability to customize your character how you saw fit. After a year in development hell. It was cancelled. A long time had past with nothing out of Capcom about anything Mega Man related. We got a few collection in 2015, but that was it.

With fans begging for a new installment of the game. Capcom is finally listening. During a live stream Capcom announced the Mega Man X collection. All eight Mega Man X games will be released to all current gen platforms and to Steam. Fans were happy, but we wanted a new Mega Man game. We haven't had a new game in many many years.

Capcom was listening.

Mega Man 11 will be released some time next year to all platforms, including PC (Steam) and the Nintendo Switch. From the trailer, it looks to be everything fans wanted. Its going to feature the classic platforming action we have come to expect from a Mega Man game. I'm not really into the new art direction, but whatever. Its a new Mega Man game.

I for one am very excited.

Are you guys hyped for a new Mega Man game? What platform are you going to play it on? Are you interested in the X Collection? Let us know in the comments.

As always, this is James with Game Fix. Game on everybody!
