OWL Stage 3 Week 3 Results And Standings

Wow.... that is all I can say. We have at the half way point of Stage 3 already, and still having huge games. From the Battle of Los Angeles to Boston beating both NYXL & Seoul in the same week, to the Outlaws bringing it back after their pair of disappointing losses from week 2 to the San Fran Shock with a huge upset win against the Fusion. I really think Fusion…

OWL Stage 3 Week 2 Results And Standings

Week 2 of Stage 3 is behind us. With a lot of the teams changing their rosters, the results are mixed. The Dragons seem to be doing a lot better having changed out almost their entire starting line up. They still haven't gotten the victory, but they have been taking maps and their losses haven't looked as bad as they were previously. The Valiant started the Stage…

Switch Getting Biggest Game Of The Year?

The Nintendo Switch dominated most of 2017, in sales and in games. With a lot of developers jumping onto the Switch bandwagon, it only makes sense that some games that you wouldn't expect to make the jump, are.

According to Marcus Sellars, a video game journalist, Epic is bringing over their battle royal game, Fortnite, to the Nintendo Switch. Slated for late…

The King of Kong Still Wins

Billy Mitchell, the "King Of Kong", has finally been caught cheating. In the documentary King of Kong, he was kind of a "bad guy". He would never meet up for a high score challenge in person, and was kind of a dick.

But I say he won.

He lived his life as a champion during a time where high scores WERE gaming, and arcades were dominating the U.S. He was going…

Fighting On The Board

I am a big fan of games, be it video games or board games. I play a variety of games, every thing from Magic The Gathering to Settlers of Cantan.

I got an interesting email the other day from a friend of mine telling me of a new board game, currently on Kickstarter.

If you are not familiar with Kickstarter, its a way for creators and developers alike to crowd fund their dream projects. A lot of great games have come from crowd funding, and a lot of turds.

The game in…

The Kraken Does Not Discriminate

Our second encounter with the Kraken happened whilst having an off and on battle with a galleon. In the middle of our quarrel, the Kraken attacked them.

Of course, we HAD to get in on that. Shot at them while I boarded and started attacking the crew.

Well, after a bit, the galleon escaped the Kraken's clutches. Then this happened: …

OWL Stage 3 Week 1

Stage 3 kicked off with a bang last week. Boston managed to win both of their games putting them tied for 4th place with their rivals the Philadelphia Fusion on the season total and 3rd place so far in the Stage 3 rankings.

The once "unbeatable" team of Seoul Dynasty has been slowly making their decent down…

With Uprising Comes Retribution

Excuse me while I change my undies.

The event that most of us have been waiting for starts April 10th. I'm talking the return of Overwatch's Uprising. This time, with the Uprising we know and love, we get a new co-op story, Retribution.

It focuses on the first Blackwatch mission and the "official" mode will include Genji, McCree (which I'm assuming is on his first mission), Reaper, and Moira. MOIRA!! (I'm a Moira main)…

Why I Think You Should Stop Bitching About The First Legendary Pirate

So recently a streamer on Twitch, that goes by Prod1gyX has become the first player to hold the title "Legendary" is Sea of Thieves. Which means he's reached the highest level allotted in the game to level 50 for each of the 3 categories. Which should of taken him a lot longer, but he was determined to see what happens once you reach "Legendary" status.

To sum up why people on the Sea of Thieves…

New Mario Kart?

That click bait title not with standing, there is a new Mario Kart game being released, but not for the 3DS or the Switch. In fact, its not even a video game.

Hasbro, creators of the the friendship ending game "Monopoly" has once again partnered with Nintendo for another game in their popular "Monopoly Gamer" line. This time its Mario Kart getting the treatment.…

Dragon Quest XI Gets An Official Release Date

I am a huge Dragon Quest fan. I like Dragon Quest more than the Final Fantasy series when it comes to my JRPGs. I love the stories and the art direction (thanks to Akira Toriyama of DragonBall fame).

When this popped up this morning on my Facebook wall, I let out a very large "HELL YES FINALLY" and then there was awkward stares from my co-workers. But whatever, we finally have a release date.

The highly anticipated large-scale RPG Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive…

John Cena Will Be Duke Nukem

The Duke is here! In great news for wrestling and video game nerds, John Cena has been cast to play Duke Nukem. According to an interview with Cinemablend, producer Andrew Form has said they don’t have a script but they have their Duke. He also emphasized a focus on tone, saying that he was drawing inspiration from Deadpool. Personally, I feel the emphasis on tone will be…

OWL Stage 2 Week 5 Results & Standings

This is the week of the Stage 2 finals. We had some upsets, reserve sweeps, and heart breaks.

First I want to talk about the unsung heroes of Overwatch. The support players. From JJoNak on NYXL, who put in an outstanding performance on Zenyatta, to ryujehong on the Dynasty team, who can literally play Ana at such a high level that its complete insanity.…

After a weird pause in everything, Atari is back in full force with their upcoming "Atari Box". This time, we get a name:

We are quickly coming into week 5, which means Stage 2 finals are upon us. But first, lets talk about this week.

Week 4 had a lot of good matches, with New York Excelsior winning against Seoul Dynasty in a very close set and the Fusion just running a clinic against the Fuel.  And once again, the Dragons getting zero wins this week. They're still taking…
