Bungie's Witch Queen Expansion A Seperate Purchase From Season Pass For Destiny 2

Seems like Bungie has been doing quite a bit on its player community with recent news regarding Destiny 2. Along with the announcement that the 30th Anniversary Pack will be priced at $30, on top of the standard edition (and the US$79 Deluxe version, much to the dismay of fans), it turns out the the dungeons for the upcoming Witch Queen add-on are NOT included with the purchase of even the season pass. A Bungie community manager made the announcement on Reddit last Wednesday:

Hey everyone. We’ve seen some debate around the new dungeon content and wanted to clarify how it will be delivered next year.

If you get the Digital Deluxe Edition of The Witch Queen you will receive the expansion, all four Seasons for the next year, and the two Dungeons. If you get the Standard Edition, you can still upgrade to the Deluxe Edition to get the dungeons later. We will also be offering a separate way for you to purchase the Dungeons in the future, but they will not be included in the Season passes.

We will share more info on this closer to when this content is set to go live.

Past incarnations included the free maps and extra content we're already provided previously, so naturally this is not sitting well with Destiny 2 players. It also comes off as mildly misleading regarding the purpose of a season pass. Certainly isn't uncommon for games to feature bonus add-ons, but the solution for this could easily be to have an open and direct marketplace for consumers to include what they wish to their cart.
