Since there is no SDCC this year, a lot of the big comic book and production company's are doing their own virtual con. First one is DC Fandom. A 24 hour virtual fan experience. 

There have been a lot of movie and TV show announcements, but there is one thing I want to cover here. I mean we are a video game blog after all. 

After much speculation, leaks, and rumors, WB has finally announced the next game in the Batman: Arkham series. 

The months of teasing and leaks and rumors were all true. The next Batman game is indeed going to be "Batman: Gotham Knights". However, you are not playing as the Batman. No, instead you are playing as "The Bat-Family"; Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, and Red Hood. Each character plays entirely differently from one another. Batgirl is a hacker who uses her tonfa and martial arts skills to take out bad guys. Nightwing is much more acrobatic, think Spider-Man, and he uses Escrima sticks. Red Hood is more the vigilante type, who combines traditional and high tech weapons (he even uses guns), and finally, Robin who uses a quarterstaff and stealth to deal with the enemy. 

Taking up the reins for this project is WB Montreal, who previously worked on Batman: Arkham Origins. Rocksteady, the developers of the Arkham series are hard at work on Suicide Squad game. 

For the first time ever in a Batman game, you are gonna be able to play co-op! 

Why no Batman?

Well, to put it bluntly. He dead, and now its up to the "Bat-Family" to take up his reins and protect Gotham from a new villain - The Court of Owls. Who are they? At their basic they are the riches family's in Gotham, and they love their cultish conspiracy theory's. In the real world, they are the NWO, they are an evil society who doesn't care if Gotham burns, as long as they make money and gain power.

Batman: Gotham Knights is coming out in 2021 for the PS4, PS5, X1S, and PC. X1 has not been confirmed as of yet. 

Keep checking back because Rocksteady is going to finally show off Suicide Square: Kill the Justice League.
