Demon Slayer Yaiba: The Hinokami Chronicles Reveals Vs Mode Roster

Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Hinokami Chronicles is an upcoming 3D fighting game developed by CyberConnect2, who's works include 2020's open world action game Dragonball Z Kakarot and the Naruto Ninja Storm series, and published worldwide by Sega. In early July, a gameplay trailer highlighted Demon Slayer's story mode and displayed the general rules for combat, along with a few playable characters. 

The story takes place in Taisho period Japan and follows Tanjiro, a kind-hearted young boy who makes a living selling charcoal. He finds his family slaughtered by a demon, and the lone survivor, his younger sister Nezuko, has been turned into a demon herself. Tanjiro resolves to become a demon slayer so that he can turn his sister back into a human and kill the demon that massacred his family.

The Hinokami Chronicles will play like an open arena fighting game, similar to titles like Jump Force, characters utilizing their sword-based technique known as "Breathing Styles". The Vs mode allows you to choose from 18 characters from the series, including six from the spin-off series Chuukou Ikkan!! Kimetsu Gakuen Monogatari, to form a team to two combatants. The roster includes:

Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Hinokami Chronicles will be released October 15 2021 for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows.
