The opening gate for Hollywood location of Super Nintendo World is approaching fast. Perhaps it has been the world reacting to the reveal of Illumination's Super Mario Bros Movie, but the park opens this year. Courtesy of the MiceChat YouTube channel, some early looks into the Universal Studios Hollywood location park layout are revealed. Just how different is it from the Japan park?

A lot of the attractions are very similar to the Osaka park. Some configurations will be a touch different, but the Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge ride, the Toadstool Cafe & 1-Up Shop, and the Power Bands challenge function the same way. Outside of the studio park is the CityWalk, which has the character shops, Feature Presentation Store, and a Nintendo World Store.

Back in September, an announcement was made that the Super Nintendo World Japan location will be adding a Donkey Kong expansion to their park that is planned to open in 2024, the first major add-on to the park since its opening. Time will tell if the Hollywood and Orlando locations here in the US will eventually see this come to fruition.
