Creepy cult leader in a small town? This is a really cool concept that I don't think has been explored in a non horror game. Eden's Gate looks like a compelling enemy. Joseph Seed looks like another signature main bad the likes of Vaas.
Speaking of Vaas, gamers who buy the season pass or gold edition of Farcry 5 will get a remastered copy of Farcry 3. If you haven't played it before, this alone makes the season pass worth getting. A perfectly told story about a group of wealthy college kids who end up on an island of animals and slowly lose their humanity. Vaas is one of the best villains of the last decade. A true madman. A true madman (if you play it you'll understand why I repeated that). Here's a trailer for Farcry 3 Classic edition.

That segues into the third announcement for Far Cry 5: the season pass dlc. It looks as though it's taking you everywhere possible. Hours of Darkness will take you to 1960's era Vietnam to fight Viet Cong in what sounds like a playable ptsd flashback. Dead Living Zombies will be a swarm survival mode in which players will fight zombies through a variety of b-movie scenarios. It sounds a lot like Left for Dead, which is not a bad thing at all. The third announced dlc is Lost on Mars. It looks like players will be fighting Mars spiders. Yep, Martian spiders. I think after the resounding success of Blood Dragon we've seen that silly can work just as well as serious with this series. Check out the season pass art Ubisoft released below:
