Despite the the issues that some players has with Spider-Man being an exclusive to only the Sony platform. There is still a lot of playable characters coming to Marvel's Avengers. 

Over this past weekend, the PC and Xbox beta's were in full force. Players from both platforms got to beat up baddies using Thor, Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Cap, and Black Widow. 

One of the benefits of the PC beta was, we can hack the crap out of it!

In comes Reddit. Not one, but two different users. RoboMatters & 6plus4equals52 who discovered a number of playable characters to be released post-launch.  

Crystal Dynamics has confirmed that there will be a number of characters released and even confirmed one of them - Clint Barton AKA Hawkeye. We also know that Spider-Man will be a post-launch character, just for PS4 and PS5 users. However, he was still listed in the datamines on the PC. Meaning, Spider-Man is in the game, just not accessible to anybody other than PS4 and PS5 users. I personally give it a week and somebody is going to patch Spider-Man into the PC version.  

Outside of the two confirmed characters, the list just gets better.

A few notes from the leakers. "Ant-Man" is listed in the files as "Antman2" which could mean that it's Scott Lang and not Hank Pym. Characters like "War Machine" and "Hulkbuster" are basically reskinned versions of characters already in the game.

I am very glad that they went a little to the left with some of the DLC characters. Seriously, She-Hulk doesn't get the love that she deserves and Scarlet Witch? Wow. Scarlet Witch is one of my favorite Marvel characters ever. Dr. Strange is also a really amazing choice. 

Wolverine was also an Avenger at one point.. so.... maybe... ? Pretty please? 

Marvels Avengers comes out Sept 4th for the Xbox, PS4, and PC. Open beta, for those who haven't pre-ordered starts August 21st and runs through til August 23rd.
