To think, it's been almost three years since the last Overwatch hero addition, this feels pretty refreshing. Overwatch 2's newest hero, the former captain Sojourn, gets a gameplay trailer showcasing her abilities. Armed with a railgun, she has an area-affecting Distruptor Shot that negates opponents caught in the discharge, so this could put the hurt on teams fighting in a rather tight-knit group.

She can also perform a fast slide and attack to travel long distances and penetrate defenses. For her Ultimate, it appears Sojourn's railgun uses a charged shot after gathering energy and launch a powerful, armor-piercing blast.

Yep, can't wait for the community to ask for her to be nerfed into oblivion upon launch.

Overwatch 2 is still in development for the XBox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. There is a beta scheduled for April 26, 2022.
