This has just been a really bad week for Blizzard. 

Overwatch has finally been released for the Nintendo Switch. The problem is, you can't purchase it on the Nintendo Eshop. It has a page, and asks you if you want to buy it. But if you choose too, you get an error message. 

There is also reports that Nintendo is refunding pre-purchases of the game digitally. Which is against Nintendo's own policy. Which Nintendo has actually went to court over in the EU. Nintendo has also pulled a lot of their own advertising of the game.

We all know that Blizzard has been going through a PR nightmare as of late. I mean I reported on it right here just the other day. And with the further news that Blizzard is in fact suspending the US Hearthstone collegiate team "American University" for their on stream protest and with Blizzard them self cancelling a launch event at the Nintendo Store in NYC due to threats of protesting. Too pile onto this. The Switch version is getting awful reviews. The game is currently sitting at a 76 on Metacritic. While not really bad, every other version of this game got better reviews. PC got 91, PS4 got 90, and the X1 got a 91.

Is Nintendo trying to push away from Blizzard? Cause this seems like backpedaling to me, especially considering that Overwatch was the headlining title on their last Nintendo Direct. The sudden shift is staggering, leading a charge to just radio silence.    

This just isn't a good time to be Blizzard right now. 

If I get any new information in this, I will post it. But as of right now, you cannot purchase Overwatch on the Nintendo Eshop and there hasn't been any official announcement as to why this is so.

Hopefully this is just a glitch in the matrix.
