Here we are. The final week of the first season of the Overwatch league.
We have had some amazing matches through out all of this season. Some heart breaks, some adrenaline fueling moments, and just a lot of fun.
This will be my final OWL report of the season. I enjoyed doing these for you all. We have a 2 week break until finals, and with the trading season starting back up, I will be covering all the trades. Then we have Worlds coming up, and I will be covering that.
The season maybe over, but there is still a lot of Overwatch to cover.
So lets get started.
With all the hype over the Season Playoffs coming up, we totally forgot about the stage finals. And for the first time... well ever... Dallas has a chance at the stage finals. They have been doing really amazing this stage, and have earn their chance for a stage playoff. Its been a long long season for them. Losing players, losing coaches, just losing them self. But here we are. I believe that if this was the Dallas team from the very beginning, the Season standings would look very very different. I think we are going to see a different Dallas team next season. They now know what its like to win, and its not going to change.
Houston's entire Stage rests on their own shoulders. The Outlaws have been on a rampage lately. The only 2 teams in their way for a stage final is the Fusion and the best damn team in the league right now, NYXL. Houston have never beaten either of these teams.
Shanghai Dragons. Did not win a game the entire season. They won maps here and there, and off of some good teams, but could never finish a match. Their main problem was just very inconsistent players. If 2 or 3 players were all playing incredibly good, then they would have had an actual chance for a win. But as it stood, when one player was doing amazing, the rest were just weighing them down. I believe that this team is going to go through some drastic changes in the off season. I would not be surprised if we see a fresh 6 man team next season.
Lets check the results.

Battle for LA part 5!
Finals Day
Semi Finals: Los Angeles Valiant vs. Los Angeles Gladiators
Semi Finals: Dallas Fuel vs. New York Excelsior
Finals: Los Angeles Valiant vs. New York Excelsior
It was simply and amazing playoff series. All credit goes to the Valiant. They played this entire stage very well, and totally deserved their victory. I personally think, the victory means so much more since they defeated the number 1 team in the entire league. NYXL played amazing, but this was the Valiant's time to shine. And shine they did.
So whats next now? The season 1 play offs. Here is what it looks like.
