Patch Coming To Switch Version Of Sonic Colors Ultimate To Fix Seizure-Inducing Glitches

This week saw the release of Sonic Colors Ultimate, a remastered update of the original Nintendo Wii game from 2010. Developed by Blind Squirrel Games, who also worked on the Mass Effect Legendary Edition remaster, the Switch port of the game has seen a plethora of bugs and glitches that cause the game to produce seizure-inducing images. Blind Squirrel Games issued a statement regarding a patch to fix the problems:

"We appreciate all the feedback we've received about Sonic Colors: Ultimate so far. We're listening and preparing a patch for release as soon as possible."

Sonic The Hedgehog social media manager Katie “MiniKitty” Chrzanowski released a statement as well regarding the matter, pointing that many people experiencing the glitches may be the result of playing Sonic Colors Ultimate on an emulator.

The release date for the patch is to be determined. Sonic Colors Ultimate is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
