RoboCop: Rogue City's New Gameplay Trailer Showcases Grisly Shootouts

Polish developing studio Teyon (Terminator: Resistance, Heavy Spire: Shattered Spear) have been working to bring the ultra-violent action of the iconic 1987 film to a first-person shooter. The studio and NACON have worked closely with MGM in order to bring as authentic an experience to the game as possible. Alex Murphy actor Peter Weller will return to reprise the role as the cyborg officer.

While the gunplay exhibits the savage violence the '87 film was famous (and infamous) for, Alex Murphy's tools and cybernetics appear to be a key tool in how you carry out your prime directives. There isn't a lot to go on with the game's story, but this futuristic, dystopian take on Detroit may serve a reasonably sized open world, so Rogue City seems very ambitious.

It may take a little longer before players can hit the streets, as Rogue City has been delayed until September. Not an uncommon occurrence for Teyon and NACON games. NACON announced Lord of the Rings: Gollum, has been delayed indefinitely.

RoboCop: Rogue City is coming to the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
