Just announced at Sega Fest in Japan is the Sega Genesis Mini(or the Mega Drive Mini)!

This year is the 30th anniversary for the Genesis/Mega Drive and commemorate that they are releasing their own version of a mini console before the end of this year. It's said they will release the mini console first in Japan and then in the states, according to AtGames, whose technology will power the console.

This announcement is obviously fueled by the success of all the Nintendo Mini's. I am hoping it's more successful than their try of last years's failure of the Sega Genesis Flashback.

I'm guessing this will be released around Christmas time at $80, anymore, in my opinion, will just be too expensive. Are you planning on purchasing this?
