Silent Hill Composer Akira Yamaoka Teases Possible Project In Removed YouTube Interview

The Konami rumor that many fans have been itching to have clarified may have gained a little bit of traction. In a recent interview with Al Hub, the iconic composer was speaking about the latest project he lent his talents to, the recently released thriller puzzle game The Medium for the Xbox Series X|S and PC.

He then veered a little off topic to mention a work in the future.

"You'll probably hear something this summer to be announced. I think it's the one you're kinda hoping to hear about." - via translator

With more rumors of Silent Hill remasters or a new entry circling throughout the last calendar year, it certainly serves as the closest thing to unofficial confirmation that's been offered thus far. The interview in question, however, has been made unavailable to watch. AI Hub released a statement regarding the matter.

"We thank you for your support which contributed to the spread of the interview that we published yesterday with Akira Yamaoka around the world. We were asked to remove the clip, and it has been removed. We apologize and stay tuned for the next interviews"

It's unclear if Konami was the ones who asked them to remove the video. And anything can be taken with a grain of salt. There's a chance that this news could be about a different project altogether. The last Silent Hill entry was 2012's Downpour for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. While Konami is a company that has faced a great deal of criticism for the treatment of their properties over the last six years, any updates about a new work would certainly trigger anticipation from longtime Silent Hill fans.
