Man that was a great showing for Sony. We got some new games, a good look at some previously announced titles, and more importantly. We got a price and a release date.

The show starts off with a bang. Let's dive right in!

World Premier: Final Fantasy XVI

Square-Enix opens the show with one hell of an announcement. Final Fantasy 16 will be a PS5 *console* exclusive. Creative Business Unit III is taking the reigns of this one and they have some FF experience being the creative team behind Final Fantasy 11 and the massive hit, Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn. They also worked on the Dragon Quest Builders series. They know their stuff and from the trailer - that features in game footage - it's shaping up to be amazing.

No release date on this one. I expect it some time next year honestly.

Our First Real Look At Spider-Man: Miles

This is the first time we are seeing this game in action and man. Does it look great. We still don't know if this is an expansion or a stand alone game. So far, we haven't seen any mention of the 2018's Spider-Man in it, despite Miles himself being in that game.

We did get some news about the release. Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be getting a PS4 release. The game will cost $49.99, while a new "Ultimate Edition" will be releasing on the PS5. In the "Ultimate Edition" you will get 2018's Spider-Man, with all the DLC, along with Spider-Man: Miles Morales for $69.99.

Developer Insomniac said;

The remaster for the PS5 is no simple up-res, as many of the game’s art assets have been completely updated to take advantage of the PS5 console’s horsepower. You’ll see better-looking characters with improved skin, eyes, hair, and facial animation (including our new, next-generation Peter Parker). You’ll also see ray-traced reflections and ambient shadows, improved lighting, more pedestrians and vehicles stretching further into the distance, and the same optional performance mode offered on Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, allowing you to finally play the game at a targeted 60fps frame rate. We’ll be supporting near-instant loading, 3D audio, and the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback

Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be a launch title.

World Premier: Hogwarts Legacy

The game that has gotten leaked more times than I can count has finally been revealed to the world! This completely open world Harry Potter title doesn't actually feature Harry at all. In fact, everybody we know isn't in it. Instead, this game takes us back to the 1800s, we are a new student at Hogwarts and we just so happen to the hold the key to an ancient secret. Don't you just hate it when that happens?

As cliched as it sounds, the game does look amazing, and personally, I will be buying it. I love the world of Harry Potter, and being able to explore Hogwarts is going to be amazing.

Hogwarts Legacy will be releasing some time in 2021 for the PS5, PS4, X1, Series X, and PC.

With every thing currently surrounding JK Rowlings, I am surprised that Sony even announced this title. I do find it interesting the words "Harry Potter" are no where near this title, and they even went so far as to say "this is an untold story" trying their best to distance them self from the creator. Still, Sony really should have waited on this one.

Pew Pew

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Yeah, it's Call of Duty. The PS4 is getting a multiplayer alpha starting Sept 18th.

Cool. I guess. Sorry, not a Call of Duty fan. I'm sure a lot of you are interested. It's why I included it.

New Trailer For that Resident Evil Game

This is the second story trailer for the newest RE game.

The more I see of this game, the more it looks like Silent Hill. It looks good. I've never played a modern RE game, so I don't really have an opinion on it other than it looks good.

Wow I Love This Game

The more I see of DeathLoop, the more excited I get for it. This was supposed to be a launch title, but has since been pushed back to Q2 of 2021. I am very glad it's getting a PC release also.

Molluck Returns

The Oddworld title never interested me. I played the first one on the PS1 and remember just getting frustrated with it.

The game does look pretty.

Vergil Loves Special Editions

This is kind of a world premier, but kind of not. Devil May Cry 5 is getting a PS5 release. Called Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition. You get to play as Vergil and it's in 60 frames.

It's also a digital launch title for the PS5.

5 Nights, More Like 7 Releases

Another Five Nights at Freddy's game was teased.

The Remaster Everybody Wanted

The good news, it's a launch title! The bad news, it's going to cost 70 bucks.

It's also been confirmed that this is in fact an exclusive title. No PC or "other consoles" will be getting this title. Which is a shame honestly.

The Biggest Announcement Yet!

That's right! God of War: Ragnorak is a thing! There are zero details about this title and it's coming out next year. We have no idea if it's a stand alone game, or a spin-off, but it's coming in 2021!

Price and Release

$500 for the full console and $400 for the digital one. The digital version will be exactly like the big boy, just won't have an optical drive. Unlike the Series S, which has lower specs than the Series X. It's also coming soon, like very soon. November 12th in the US, Japan, and Canada. November 19th in the rest of the world. Pre-orders for this start tomorrow. So get ready. Its almost here.

That is all from me. As always, this has been James with Game Fix. Game on everybody!
