The June 4th edition of State of Play came with a bevy of surprises to look forward to, especially if you're a fan of what's in store for PSVR2. Along with that were an interesting look at old face, and some much anticipated sequels. Here's what was shown:

RESIDENT EVIL 4 (3-24-2023)

Resident Evil 4 returns...AGAIN. This time, it's re-imagined through Capcom's RE Engine, based on its original script, which was reported to be darker than the original 2004 release. It looks like it's going to be good, and this is one of the most revolutionary games of its time, but I can't help but shake the vibe that Code Verconica would have benefited more. Coming March of 2023

RESIDENT EVIL VILLAGE

It may not be extra DLC or story content, but this was a given. Find out how the ultimate survival horror experience is becoming even more immersive with PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers.

The WALKING DEAD: SAINTS & SINNERS Ch.2: RETRIBUTION

The first look at gameplay for the next chapter in the VR title The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners. TWDSS Ch2 is coming to PS VR in late 2022, and is in development for PS VR2.

NO MAN'S SKY

I consider No Man's Sky one of last generation's greatest success stories. To see this game garner the longevity and replay value after its polarizing launch, it's hard to not root against Hello Games for what they've put together.

HORIZON SERIES: FORBIDDEN WEST & CALL OF THE MOUNTAIN

Step into a new virtual reality adventure with Horizon Call of the Mountain and explore the world through the eyes of a new protagonist, former Shadow Carja Ryas.

MARVEL'S SPIDERMAN REMASTERED PC

PlayStation’s critically-acclaimed game, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, is coming to PC! In Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, the worlds of Peter Parker and Spider-Man collide in an original action-packed story. Play as an experienced Peter Parker, fighting big crime and iconic villains in Marvel’s New York.

STRAY (7-19-2022)

Okay, this one tugs close to home. Lost, alone, and separated from family, a stray cat must untangle an ancient mystery to escape a long-forgotten cybercity and find the way home. Stray is coming to PS5 and PS4 July 19.

THE CALLISTO PROTOCOL (12-1-2022)

Check out the first look at The Callisto Protocol official PS5 gameplay from Striking Distance Studios. This terrifying sci-fi thriller survival horror comes out around the world on PS4 and PS5 on December 2, 2022.

ROLLERDROME

Artistically fascinating, and completely puts me in the mind of Running Man crossed with Roller Games, enter the Rollerdrome on PlayStation 5 & PlayStation 4 August 2022. I'm a sucker for cel-shading.

Eternights (Early 2023)

Jae Hyun Yoo, inspired by the Persona series, brings his RPG+Dating Sim to fruition with Eternights. Scavenge for supplies, explore dungeons... and go on dates! Save the world, and find love along the way.

STREET FIGHTER 6 (Summer 2023)

After Street Fighters 4 and 5 stuck to the arcade/competitive style roots that founded the fighting game genre, Street Fighter 6 looks to open the door for the normal video game player and pro players.

Take part in the Fighting Ground, which focuses on the classic fighting game experience with modes from previous games in the series. Two new modes will be available alongside: World Tour, an immersive single-player story experience, and Battle Hub, which will further expand the scope of player communication and engagement. 

TUNIC (September 27)

TUNIC is coming to PS5 and PS4 on September 27, 2022! Explore a land filled with lost legends, ancient powers, and ferocious monsters in TUNIC, an isometric action game about a small fox on a big adventure. Stranded in a ruined land, and armed with only your own curiosity, you will confront colossal beasts, collect strange and powerful items, and unravel long-lost secrets.

SEASON: A LETTER TO THE FUTURE 

High in the mountains, there is a village safe from the turmoil of changing seasons. No one has left in a generation, no one until Estelle. In her world, a season is a period of history, an era. This season is about to end.
