Stray - PS5

We got our first look at the PS5 a few days ago. You can read about everything that was announced at the PS5 Reveal here and here.

One game stood out to me personally. That game was called "Stray". Being developed by BlueTwelve Studios and published by Annapurnna Interactive.

Originally titled "HK_Project" and announced way back in 2016 with a video and a few GIFs floating around the internet. The game has went through some notable changes from its original announcement. First off, it's now being released on the PS5 (along with the PS4. PC release to follow some time later in 2021), secondly it seems to have went through a complete visual over haul from its original announcement and finally. It actually has a name now.

You can definitely tell this is just a rough cut of the final product. I'm sure the move to the PS5 also is making this game look way prettier than they originally envisioned. There is just more in the PS5 that is going to compliment this game and compliment it does. This game looks amazing with its neon-light aesthetics and just dark murky backgrounds. The little details on the cat alone are amazing.

What do we know?

Not a lot, to be honest. We know it's going to be a third person adventure game with a little action in it. There is also going to be exploration and puzzle solving. You will also be able to interact with the environment and there is a mystery to solve.

But more importantly, you can sit on chairs, just like people.

The World of Stray.

We have no idea if you venture out of the city settings, but we do know that the city is a futuristic take on Kowloon Walled City in Hong Kong. Humans no longer exist. The world is filled with androids of all different types and personalities.

I found this game to be really interesting because it's different. Yeah Spider-Man 2 and Horizon 2 are going to be amazing. But we have played those games before. This game is unique, we haven't seen anything like it. This is probably why that out of all of the titles Sony announced, this one has my eye the most.
