With Street Fighter V wrapped up and the Capcom Pro Tour lowering the curtain on possibly the most divisive game in the franchise, the community eagerly anticipates more information on the upcoming Street Fighter 6. With more gradual character reveals and a second closed beta test (which begins December 16 - December 19 for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC), the leak of a release date planned for this summer predated The Game Awards 2022.
During the pre-show, the audience got the information verified, as Street Fighter 6's street date is confirmed as June 6, 2023. This newest trailer also showcases some of SF6's new characters, judoka master and super model Manon, the mysterious head of NGO JP, the hulking and imposing Greek jewelry designer Marisa, and the World Warrior veteran DeeJayy, making his return.
Many of the new details include some of the World Tour's features, such as mini-games and Master Assists, where it appears whichever mentor you train under will hop in and aid you during a match. Very akin to Marvel vs Capcom's tag assists, and it's always great to see that feature return.
Street Fighter 6's pre-order bonus includes Outfit 1 Color 10 for Chun Li, Manon, Jamie, Ken and Juri.
Street Fighter 6 is scheduled to drop June 2, 2023 for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
