Some familiar World Warriors are coming to the Power Rangers: Battle For The Grid roster. Revealed on IGN, a Street Fighter DLC pack will be added to the game that will include Ryu and Chun Li, transforming as the Crimson Hawk Ranger and Blue Phoenix Ranger, respectively. Both fighters will be bundled at $12.50(US) or $5.99 individually. 

"The entire 2D fighting genre can be traced back to Chun-Li and Ryu (among others) making such a splash in Street Fighter II," says Rose Silvestre from the nWay Community and Marketing team. "Tag fighters in particular owe a spiritual debt to the Capcom - Marvel crossovers of the 90s, X-Men vs. Street Fighter and Marvel vs. Capcom."

The Ryu and Chun Li character models are based on the mobile game, Power Rangers: Legacy War, implemented here with their Ranger skins. The press release for Ryu states that [quote] "he brings to the battle his trademark stoic, reserved poise and a lifetime of Shotokan training. His fluid, almost water-like fighting style is deadly at both range and up close, with his moves executed using classic, genre-defining input commands. Keep opponents on their toes from a distance with classic Hadouken, or punish aggressive play up close with his Tastumaki Senpukyaku or iconic Shoryuken. " Chun Li shows up at the end, executing her signature Spinning Bird Kick. But it can be safe to assume that her familiar Street Fighter V tool kit will be accessible. Ryu's skill set looks optimized to take advantage of Battle For The Grid's over-the-top juggle combo system. 

Inspired by UDON Entertainment artist's comic designs, the original concept art was revealed for Power Rangers Legacy Wars back in 2018. Working with Saban, additional designs were included, such as the Power Coin and the animal themes. 

Power Rangers: Battle For The Grid Super Edition is coming May 25, with a physical edition slated for July. The base game will be included, as well as all three current season passes. The Street Fighter pack and four bonus skins will be available. Battle For The Grid is for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and Stadia.
