The news of Nintendo's decision to close the Wii U and 3DS eShops next year means access to many games tied to the platforms' Virtual Console will be cut off permanently, much to the chagrin of many. Nintendo never made a statement regarding if these games would be preserved in any fashion.
Sungrand Studios, the team behind the Silver Falls series, has decided to release seven games in the psychological horror series for the eShops, announcing via Twitter to "celebrate the Wii U and 3DS".
The games added to the Wii U:
- Silver Falls The White Inside Its Umbra
- Silver Falls Undertakers
- Silver Falls Gaiden
Coming to the 3DS:
- Silver Falls Vicarious Brothers
- Silver Falls Guardians & Metal Exterminators
- Silver Falls Gaiden: Deadly Delusion Destroyers
We reported that Sungrand had been working on its latest game in the Silver Falls series, White Inside Its Umbra, earlier this year and will boast Wii remote motion controls. Sungrand has clarified that Nintendo has allowed the studio to link their 3DS and Wii U accounts to their Nintendo ID. This will allow them to continue to develop and work on games until March 2023, the eShop's final month of accessibility.
If you're a fan of the Silver Falls line of games, there's still time to enjoy what's in store from Sungrand Studios as they launch.
