Powered by EA's Frostbite engine, the Dead Space Remake has so far impressed with each trailer. With Gunner Wright returning to reprise his role as Isaac Clarke, it appears that EA's Motive Studios have made a lot of right choices. Fans who have not jumped to the next generation hardware and are only limited to the PlayStation 4 may be disappointed, as it appears the Dead Space Remake will only be for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms, as preorders only list it as such.

While there was speculation and rumors speaking the opposite, as a Latinan American trailer listing stated that the Dead Space Remake was also coming to the PS4. British gaming journalism site Eurogamer clarified the error in the trailer.

"EA's latest trailer for the game was published today on PlayStation's official YouTube channel for Latin America", Eurogamer wrote, "which has 664,000 subscribers, and wrongly labels the revived survival horror as coming to both PS4 and PS5.

The listing sparked fan speculation and media reports that the game was also quietly being developed for PS4 and Xbox One."

Much to the chagrin of many a gamer who have not had a chance to get their hands on a PlayStation 5 or an Xbox Series X are very disappointed. This will be yet another game that will skip the older hardware, and very likely for the development cycle, is a better longterm decision. It will join games like Gotham Knights, which saw a delay as Warner Bros. Interactive scraps the PS4 and Xbox One versions. The same is said for Konami's upcoming space shooter CYGNI: All Guns Blazing, coming only to the Series X|S and PS5. Time passes, and more of these announcements will take place.

The Dead Space Remake will be released January 27, 2023 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC
