When it was announced that Netflix was creating a TV series based off of book series written by Andrzej Sapkowski, not the CD Projected Red video game. A lot of fans were interested in just what the streaming service was going to create. When it was announced that Superman actor Henry Cavill was going to be playing the titular character, a lot of people rolled their eyes. 

A lot of people didn't think he could pull off Geralt. He didn't have "the look". But when pictures started being released, a lot of people actually enjoyed his look. 

Today, Netflix released the main trailer for The Witcher and I gotta say. It looks great. 

Cavill nailed the look and the voice. The setting looks incredible. I have faith that this is going to be a great series. 

Is this going to be our newest dark fantasy series? Will this be our Game of Thrones replacement that we all desperately need? Hard to tell, but the trailer does look great. 

The Witcher arrives on Netflix December 20th.
