As time passes, the sun gets closer to setting on the seventh generation of video game consoles. According to Microsoft's support page, close to 50 games will be delisted from the Xbox 360 digital storefront come February 7. This will include add-ons as well. This number may grow in time.
A number of game titles and associated add-ons will be removed from the Xbox 360 Marketplace in a select set of regions per title", it reads. "These removals will start on February 7, 2023."
The games removed are as listed:
If previously purchased, these games are still available to download on your Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles, so they are salvageable.
I have remained fascinated as to how the seventh generation of consoles were going to be decommissioned. While Microsoft will have to eventually shutter the doors on this platform, they have done the best job of the three big time publishers in preserving its backlog and category.
