Rounding out the latest (and possibly final) line of roster additions for King of Fighters XV, these two loyal followers of Hakkessu make their return to the tournament. With Vice and Mature, this completes the inclusion of all of the key Orochi Saga characters. Along with the femme fatales entering the fray, KOF XV will also see a 2.4v balance patch for the roster.

Vice and Mature will be available December 12th

As a grappler, Vice's play style involves playing close range and inflicting as much damage as possible with her devastating throws. Using her snake-like strikes, she's capable of pulling opponents closer in order to get into grab range.

Opposite of her partner's brutal close quarters style, Mature is more of a zoning style fighter, using projectiles to keep fighters at bay, while being able to utilize rushdown techniques. Being the more agile of the two, Mature has more fluid pressure options and combos. 

King of Fighters XV: Ultimate Edition

Also announced is the new ultimate edition of KOF XV. This digital release will include the base game, and all of the DLC costumes and characters, including Vice and Mature. Bringing KOF XV's roster to 61 characters total. The KOF XV: Ultimate Edition's retail price will be $59.99US/€59.99.

As this is announcing an Ultimate version, this likely means that SNK is wrapping up with King of Fighters XV and the Shun Ei arc. Solid sales figures are hard to find, as SNK does not release those numbers publicly, it's difficult to determine if KOF XV eclipsed 1 million units sold. KOF game designer and director Yasayuki Oda and staff has been very proud of their work with this and Samurai Shodown, but they can likely now put their energy into Fatal Fury: City of Wolves, set to launch April 21, 2025. Considering they have soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo on board in some capacity with City of Wolves, along with guest stars from Street Fighter in Ken Masters and Chun-Li, SNK has very ambitious plans. 

King of Fighters XV is currently available for the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PS4, Windows, Steam, and The Epic Games Store.
