After 20 years, the largely dormant RPG series will finally see a redistribution for today's enthusiasts and fans of old to enjoy. Announced back in February 2023, Bandai Namco is redistributing the GameCube exclusive titles, Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean and Baten Kaitos Origins, later this summer. The remasters will include improved visuals and quality of life changes.

New Features also include:

• - "Zero Encounters" to avoid enemy battle
• - Streamlined system settings to support more streamlined game progression

The story follows the tale of a civilization greatly changed by the conflict between the evil God and the people. The long battles left the evil God banished, but the land ravaged and desolate, causing civilization to take residence in the sky. Take control of the protagonist, a guardian spirit, and explore the continent in the sky, unraveling its mysteries and restore the fading tranquility.

Developed by Monolift Soft, the team behind the Xenoblade Chronicles series, Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings the Lost Ocean was released for the Nintendo GameCube in 2003, and was most noted for its unique card-based combat system, which decks are built for characters and are dealt out randomly for battle, which combines real time and turn-based philosophies. The sequel, Baten Kaitos Origins, is a prequel that takes place 20 years before the first game

Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster will be released both physically and digitally this summer for the Nintendo Switch.
