Castlevania Season 3 Gets March Release Date

After what has felt like a long hiatus, Castlevania's animated series will finally continue. Netflix sent out a tweet today, along with a poster promoting art from the upcoming follow-up to season two. Season 1's initial 4 episodes airing in July of 2017, while received much critical acclaim, felt like a teaser. Season 2 was expanded up to 8 episodes, and it appears season three will accrue more episodes, topping out at 10.

Castlevania's third season was initially confirmed immediately after the airing of season 2. Producer Adi Shankar has spoken about including elements from other games in the Castlevania series, as well as a crossover with the Netflix exclusive Devil May cry series he's developing (along with Assassin's Creed), potentially expanding the collaborations into a growing multiverse. The animated series is loosely based on events that transpire during Castlevania III dracula's Curse, following the journey of Trevor Belmont, mage Sypha, and Dracula's son Alucard to stop the grief-stricken Lord of the vampires. Konami has worked in close conjunction with the production of the show in an administrative role to eye out any continuity matters, but have been overall pleased with the success and reception of the series.

The latest season of Castlevania will be available March 5th exclusively on Netflix.
