The future of Microsoft exclusive software appears to be looking solid. Following 2023's Xbox Games Showcase, which highlighted the newest Fable entry and Obsidian's Avowed, the development cycle may be paying off after a dry last year. During the Xbox Developer Direct livestream, the world finally gets the debut look at Indiana Jones And The Great Circle.

Taking place between Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade, The Great Circle places you in the role of the titular hero in this first person adventure, doing what Indie does best; traveling the world and solving mysteries. Race against sinister forces to locations like the Vatican, the deserts of Egypt, and the sunken temples of Sukhothai.

Development comes by way of MachineGames, renowned for their work on the recent Wolfenstein trilogy The New Order, The Old Blood, and The New Colossus. Troy Baker, who's voiced the roles of Joel Miller in The Last of Us series and Revolver Ocelot in Metal Solid V: The Phantom Pain, will be providing the voice of Indie, and does a pretty spot on impression of Harrison Ford.

“There are a lot of Indiana Jones fans at MachineGames. Most of us grew up with Indy and fell in love with the movies and the character when we were young. We’ve just got these ties to the character that go back decades,” spoke Game Director Jerk Gustafsson. “But even if you didn’t grow up with Indiana Jones, you know Indiana Jones. He’s a relatable type of hero and a true adventurer. That’s a legacy we want to share and be part of, and we want to build something interesting and genuine.”

Look for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle later this year for the Xbox Series X|S and Microsoft Windows, also launching on Game Pass.
