James, Kirk, Robert, and Lars will not just bring the music, but will join the action in the PvP Battle Stage. It's a 16 player free-for-all where you must war through the Battle Stage, Main Stage, and Jam Stage in order to progress through the festival pass in a four-song set.
Progress through the Festival Event tracker, which comes with free rewards, and there's the Premium Reward track where you can unlock James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo outfits. Lars Ulrich's outfit will be immediately available upon purchasing the Premium Reward. You can also experience the band with LEGO styles.
A special event musical weapon, Ride The Lightning, will be on the Battle Royale island. It can create an arc of lightning that your teammates are capable of riding.
Metallica joins previous concert hosts Travis Scott, Eminem, The Weeknd, and Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, and Ariana Grande. In its fourth major season, Fortnite continues to be a profit maker for Epic Games. Even though Epic grossed $5.6 billion dollars in 2023, this is a slight decrease from 2022's $5.2 billion.
