Monster Hunter Rise Will Be Landing On All Console Platforms

Monster Hunter Worlds may have been far too massive a game to run on the Switch, so Nintendo fans got their hands on Monster Hunter Rise in 2021, and PC as well. Built off some of the mechanics and conventions utilized in Worlds, the adventures in Kamura Village proved to be a successful one, as Rise saw over 1.3 million unit sales in Japan during its first week.

Capcom has announced that come next year, Monster Hunter Rise will be making its way to the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and the Xbox One in 2023 for $39.99USD, with the Subreak expansion to follow later in the year. If you're a subscriber to Game Pass, it'll be available DAY ONE for free.

Along with a new story mode, the massive Sunbreak expansion will not only include 17 new monsters, two new areas will be available. The Jungle, a familiar location from previous Monster Hunter games, and the Citadel. The Citadel will feature a run-down abandoned castle, a foreboding woods area, swampy marshes, and a snow-covered region.

New Wire Bugs will be added to enrich the variation. Gold Wire Bugs will break off more parts and resources, and Red Wire Bugs increase the damage of Wyvren Attacks, which should be essential to taking down more powerful monsters. There's a lot to the Sunbreak additions that will overhaul how Monster Hunter Rise is approached, and now many other fans will have a chance to give this a shot.

Monster Hunter Rise will hit the PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S January 20th, 2023. The Sunbreak expansion drops Spring of 2023.
