Online Play Of Ghost Of Tsushima Director's Cut On PC Will Require PSN Account

Single player is not required for PSN account linking

Developed by Sucker Punch and originally released on the PlayStation 4 in 2020, Ghosts of Tsushima will be making its PC debut later this May. News was made on May 6th that for the players enjoying the action game Ghost of Tsushima: The Director's Cut on Steam and the Epic Games Store will have to sign in to a PlayStation Network account to access Ghosts of Tsushima Legends, the game's online multiplayer mode.

Last week, Sucker Punch clarified the information via Twitter/X. The single player campaign will not be tethered to this feature. The move is made to closer incorporate the software to PlayStation's ecosystem, making it easier to record trophies and achievements. With this news following so closely with Sony's original plan to make mandatory PSN sign-ins for Helldivers 2, could this be the publisher playing with fire with their community once again?

Ghosts of Tsushima Director's Cut makes its way to Steam and the Epic Games Store May 16th 2024.
