Paramount's newest trailer for the fan-anticipated sequel to 2020's financial and critical success Sonic the Hedgehog will be its final. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is less than a month away from its theatrical release, introducing the familiar face Knuckles the Echidna as Sonic's adversary, aiding Dr. Robotnik, who is looking to take advantage of the power of the Chaos Emerald.

The central cast from the first movie returns, Ben Schwartz reprises his roles as Sonic. James Marsden and Tika Sumpter are back as Tom and Maddie Wachowski. Jim Carrey plays the aforementioned Dr. Robotnik. Voice actress Colleen O'Shaughnessey, who has portrayed the role of Tails since 2014, will return to role. New cast members include Criminal Minds and soap opera star Shemar Moore and Idris Elba as the voice of Knuckles. Jeff Fowler returns as director.

Sonic the Hedgehog will be exclusively in theaters April 7, 2022, and will come to Paramount+ 45 days afterwards.
