Street Fighter 6 will have its first DLC character later this July, and it marks the return of the Turbulent Wind, Rashid. Debuting in 2016's Street Fighter V, Rashid's charisma, agility, and his style of play made him one of the more popular new characters in the game. With his speed and whirlwinds, he leaves opponents in the dust.

In Street Fighter 6, elements of his core gameplay remain similar to his Street Fighter V debut, with some additions, as well as changes to his original skill set. 

”'The Soaring Eagle of the Desert' that fights using parkour. With the wind as his ally, he outfoxes opponents with his high mobility. Born into nobility, he's a carefree but earnest man. Loves video streaming."

The play style of the fun-loving Rashid, according to Street Fighter 6 director Takayuki Nakayama, blends his agility with his wind-based skills to keep opponents guessing in neutral. 

"In Street Fighter 6, Rashid’s basic ease of handling from Street Fighter V is maintained, while expanding his overall range of movements by increasing the number of acrobatic movements and air currents incorporated into his moves," states Nakayama-san. "For example, Arabian Cyclone is a new special move that can be used on its own where Rashid performs a spinning kick conjuring up a small whirlwind and can also be transitioned into Rolling Assault and Wing Stroke, which were previously available as V-Skills in Street Fighter V. Combos incorporating these moves look great, so we hope you try them out in battle."

Eagle Spike, Whirlwind Shot, and his Spinning Mixer all return as his special moves, with his V-Trigger technique Yaasr variation becoming his Level 2 Super Art. Rashid also has a double jump added to his arsenal, so if he wasn't already a very difficult character to catch, players are ready for a show.

Rashid will also be added as a Master in World Tour mode, giving an interesting look into how the DLC characters will be incorporated into Street Fighter 6's story and the universe of the explorative mode. Rashid will be available on July 24th. The Rashid Arrives Fighting Pass will be available today until July 23rd, which features emotes, attainable gear, reactions, music, and titles.
