Gamers will have a new and fascinating means to enjoy Xbox games, thanks to a partnership from online retail giant Amazon and Microsoft. If you have an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership, you will be able to access the Xbox library without the need of a console from an Amazon Fire TV Stick. This is a considerable step forward to marketing the Game Pass as a service and diversifying its availability.
All that's required is your Fire TV Stick (Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K [2023], and Fire TV Stick 4K Max [2023]), download the Xbox App from the Amazon App Store, and a controller that is compatible with the device.
The Xbox Series X console may not be lighting the world on fire, with the market share for the console dipping below 25%. Game Pass Ultimate is certainly a good bargain for the amount of video games you're able to access. The operative word is "access", and being able to play Xbox titles on a Fire TV Stick defines luxury. The Xbox app is also on Samsung Smart TV devices.
Game Pass Tier Adjustments
In other Xbox news, Game Pass is also seeing a price increase on July 10th, along with a new "standard" tier for new members that will not have day one games available for $14.99USD. Ultimate will be $19.99USD a month and will include all the benefits (Day 1 games, Online Multiplayer, GP Library on PC & Console, Cloud access). The annual price will become $74.99USD.
Game Pass For Console will no longer be available for new members, but if you're already subscribed with auto-renewal enabled, there will be no interruption to your service.
