Nintendo's 2020 Indie World Showcase wrapped up, bringing a plethora of independently developed titles to the Switch. Headlining them is Innersloth's multiplayer deduction communication title Among Us.

Originally released in 2018, Among Us recently became a smash hit during the pandemic months as lockdown put an indefinite hiatus on in-person venues. Streamers began playing the game on Twitch and it picked up considerably in popularity. The game is played by crew members either carrying out all of their tasks or the imposter killing everyone else on board.

The multiplayer appeal and in-game chatter discussions quickly turned Among Us into a phenomenon and has seen up to 158 million instals worldwide, being downloaded 42 million times from Steam throughout the first half of September.
