Yuji Naka, known for being one of the co-creators of classics like Sonic the Hedgehog, NIGHTs Into Dreams, and most recently the underwhelming and disappointing 3D platform game Balan Wonderworld, broke his social media silence to direct comments towards a former Square Enix producer, Yu Miyake. Before pleading guilty to insider trading in 2022, Naka was previously employed by Square Enix.

"It feels like it's finally happening," Naka posted on X/Twitter on April 7th. "I hope he'll be gone soon because he's the kind of person who submitted a memo with lies (with evidence) to court. I've never met him, but the new president seems like a good"

Last week, Miyase stepped down due to alleged repeated delays of the next mainline entry, Dragon Quest XII, which was teased back in 2021. He has been employed by Square soft/Square Enix since 1992, his most recent credit with the company being Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince as executive producer. Nier Automata producer Yosuke Saito reported to be heading Dragon Quest XII. These, along with other moves, are a part of Square Enix's extensive restructuring plans, which includes the publisher/producer's new president Takashi Kiryu last November.
