In an all new short 7 minute Nintendo Direct, they will finally be announcing the newest entree into the Pokemon franchise. Mentioned at E3 2017, people have been long expecting a new game and its finally here!  

Ladies and gentleman, I give you generation 8. 

It is going to release "late 2019" and it looks like its going to be the best looking game in the franchise by far. Exclusively for the Nintendo Switch, its going to feature 3D and cel-shading. This is also the first main line Pokemon game to ever make it to a Nintendo console. Usually just released on the portable systems. 

It will take place in a new region called "Galar" and you will be able to choose from 3 new starters and a plethora of new Pokemon to train, collect, and battle.  

All 3 looks completely adorable. I have no idea which one I want, but I will probably just get a Pikachu and thunderbolt everything like I always do.
