Capcom Hints Dino Crisis Content Could Make Its Way To Exoprimal 'If There's Enough Demand'

Exoprimal, Capcom's team-based multiplayer shooter puts you in the role of an exo fighter pitted against dinosaurs by a rogue artificial intelligence known as Leviathan. The story plays out with a crew attempting a rescue and escape of this rogue island, as the A.I. pulls exo fighters from various dimensions to compete against each other.

Blending live service mechanics with single player story content that plays out following matches, it's quite a unique take on the online competitive game genre, as there's no true "pay to win" feel in its design. There's upcoming Street Fighter 6 content making its way to Exoprimal, as balance patches iron out the meta and gameplay.

Speaking of content, in an interview with Siliconera, game director Takuro Hiraoka was asked what kind of crossover content he would like to include in Exoprimal, were it up to him. He brought up Dragon's Dogma and Mega Man. Given the game's relation to another intellectual property, he was asked about Dino Crisis:

Leviathan is the type of entity that will go to any means to collect a variety of useful combat data", Hiraoka replies. "If there’s enough demand from players, Leviathan very well could make this a reality."

Capcom can be quite ambitious with their crossover material, often bringing dormant IPs back to have homage paid to them in the form of skins and stages. Dino Crisis fits like a glove in a game where players are locked in a death game against the ferocious prehistoric sentinels. A matter of time, perhaps before Regina dons an exosuit?

Exoprimal is currently available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox One, and Windows
