The trend of video game adaptations continue. Fallout television series, developed by Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan (who worked on the sci-fi hit Westworld), now has an official premiere date. Revealed on Prime Video's Twitter/X account. The post was made, simply reading "4-12-24".
Being Fallout, no doubt the series will have no problems following the lore of the video game, a retrofuturistic tale about humanity surviving in a post-apocalyptic nuclear wasteland. Amazon acquired the rights to produce a television show for Bethesda's action RPG franchise in 2020. Bethesda Game Studios programmer and director Todd Howard will serve as executive producer alongside Joy and Nolan, with Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet (writer for the 2018 Tomb Raider reboot) joining as showrunners.
Walton Goggins (The Shield) has been cast as a currently unnamed Ghoul, and Ella Purnell (Maleficent, Intruders).
