Neatherrealm Studios revealed one of the worst kept secrets, the newest game in the longstanding Mortal Kombat series. Following the events of Mortal Kombat 11, where Fire God Liu Kang, gaining control of time, has forged a new resurgent universe, following the defeat of Kronika. Liu Kang and Kitana are aware that humans will still commit grave errors, but hope they face them with better judgement.

Welcome to Mortal Kombat "1", reporting to launch for the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC on September 19.

The confirmed roster thus far appears to be some notable staples:

While there was no gameplay footage throughout the trailer, Mortal Kombat 1, powered by Unreal Engine 5, promises to usher in a new combat system, brand new character models, game modes, and of course new Fatalities. Pre-orders are currently LIVE as of this writing, and along with Shang Tsung as a bonus, you can also have beta access.
